Hi in the last video I showed you how to create a subform for a booking and generate subtotals for each individual booking item and then have a total that added up all those subtotals now at some point it be really useful for you to be able to print off a receipt for the customer based on that information, and it'd be really cool if you could just press a button, and it would create a custom receipt well it's actually really easy process, so this is how it looks, so this is my little form I press my preview report button, and then it generates a receipt now if I zoom in we can see that the receipt has information such as the booking date booking like booking ID customers information and the things that they bought it has a subtotal it has a total here obviously you can make your receipt look a little more professional than mine, but it's actually a really easy process I'm going to show you how you do that, so you're going to have to start off by making a new query, so you're going to want to go to create and query design add the information that you want, so we'll go looking we can product and products whoops turn your done something about that okay then you add the information that you want to put into your report or your receipt, so I want all this information at the customer don't need the email I want the booking ID the booking date I want to know the Product ID and the quantity, and I'm going to want to know the cost and the product name once I've got that information I'm just going to check that I've got all those things once I've all that information in there and the next thing you're going to want to do is base the query on the actual form that's open, so we're going to go to the booking idea we're going to go to criteria, and we're going to start by using square brackets, and I'm going to go to forms its easy if you just double-click on it then use X exclamation mark, and then we're going to go to the booking form XML again, and then we're going to find the information we want, so it's the booking ID now we save that now we're going to call it dry we'll call it report booking and our query has been saved now what we want to do is just test to make sure that works, so we're going to go into our booking table go to the design view we're going to just add a little button and that button is going to run that query, so we're going to go to miscellaneous run query next we want the report booking next, and we'll just use the text run query next, and we can call it CMD run we'll call it run report booking query finish, and we'll just test that so view and run query, and hopefully we'll bring up the information from our particular booking so this in this case it's booking one if we have the wild animal booking slip its booking one so that works, so that's good we will close that down, yet we'll save that and what we want to do now is use the report wizard to generate a report based on the report booking query, so again we go create can we're...
